An easy read with good information.
It is uncanny how close this book parallels a book I just published called Creating A Bad Guy Free Zone. I do not know Agent Iannarelli, and first saw him on a brief news clip on OAN talking about how people can protect themselves. I am a private citizen and wrote my book from the perspective of what private citizens can do to protect themselves and others in an ever increasingly violent world. Agent Iannarelli is correct on so many points about citizens getting involved in helping thwart terrorism. His book, albeit focused on terrorism, provides sound advice about what citizens can actually do to protect themselves, others, and our country. With over 300,000,000 people in our country, if just half of them took Agent Iannarelli's advice we would have 150,000,000 more eyes and ears alert to terrorism. I find many similarities to his review of profiling and how terrorist operate to my book's review of terrorist and criminal's activities. I was in Oklahoma City two blocks away from the McVeigh bombing. It was not unusual to find trucks parked without anyone in them along Oklahoma City streets. What was unusual about this truck was the fact it was parked in a no parking zone,was unmarked, and unattended which was unusual. I remember the devasting aftermath even today. I had always wondered what someone could do to stop such an attack. After retiring from business this thought played out as I learned more about security and protection. Finally, given today's violent world I realized the need for every citizen to be concerned about their security. Agent IrIannarelli has experienced violent situations and his first-hand experience led him to write this book so citizens could protect themselves. For him to write this book from personal experience and me to write a book so similar from a citizen's point of view, and neither of us has ever met or discussed this need, surely points to the need for this information in the public sector. I recommend this book highly. It will help me flesh out what advice I can provide people about how to protect themselves beyond what I have written. If you have children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, friends, or associates you care about you will recommend agent Iannarelli's book. Perhaps you will never experience what I saw in the Oklahoma City bombing because of what you learned from his book. May God bless you and your loved one's' security and safety.
